Mandala named EVP Ad Sales in Univision restructuring

October 8, 2012 by Veronica Villafañe

Former NBC Universal/Telemundo executive Steve Mandala has been named Univision Executive Vice President, Advertising Sales. He’ll report to Keith Turner, President of Sales & Marketing.

In his new role, Mandala will oversee Univision’s Client Development Group along with Sports Sales and Direct Response advertising.

Prior to joining Univision, Mandala spent five years as EVP, Cable Entertainment Ad Sales at NBC Universal. He was previously SVP, Telemundo Network Sales & Marketing and Affiliate Relations, a position he held for over 8 years. Before that, he was VP of Telemundo Station and Affiliate Sales in Los Angeles, and VP West Coast Sales for Univision from 1992-1997.

Mandala’s hiring is part of a restructuring of the Univision sales team “to more effectively pursue new business across all platforms while continuing to serve its existing client base.”
Roberto Ruiz and Graciela Eleta
Ruiz replaces Eleta as SVP, Brand Solutions Team.

Roberto Ruiz takes over the role of SVP, Brand Solutions Team, replacing Graciela Eleta who has been moved to a consulting capacity.

Lisa McCarthy, former EVP of the Client Development Group, has left to form her own consulting business.

Under the new structure, Laura Molen (EVP, Network Sales), Roberto Ruiz (SVP, Brand Solutions Team), Mark Dante (EVP, Station Group Sales), Charlie Echeverry (EVP, Interactive Sales) and Lee Davis (EVP, Radio Sales) will report directly to Turner.
