Univision promotes Gaviria

Ruth GaviriaRuth Gaviria has been promoted from Sr VP to Executive Vice President of Corporate Marketing.

Kevin Conroy, President of Digital and Enterprise Development at Univision Communications, made the announcement today.

Gaviria oversees marketing and brand strategies across Univision’s entire multimedia portfolio.  She spearheaded Univision’s new identity as the “Hispanic Heartbeat of America” and the new logo that signifies the network’s growth and transformation.

She is credited with the launch and positioning of UniMás (previously known as TeleFutura) and the multiplatform music service Uforia, as well as the growth of Univision’s consumer and digital marketing group.

Prior to joining Univision in 2010, she was Vice President of Hispanic Ventures for Meredith Corporation.  She was previously Director of marketing for People En Español.
