A month after Liberman Broadcasting launched “El Show De Don Cheto” into national syndication, it has secured a deal with Adelante Media Group.
The new affiliates are Boise KDBI FM 101.9, Milwaukee WDDW FM 104.7, Sacramento KGRB-FM 94.FM/Modesto KBBU FM 102.3FM/KBAA FM Grass Valley Ca, Seattle KDDS FM 99.3, Tri-Cities KZBT FM 97.9, Wenatchee/Moses Lake KZML FM 95.9 and Yakima Washington KZTA FM 96.9.
Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo’s departure from the syndicated radio market has been paving the way for other morning DJs.
Adelante had been the second largest affiliate base for Piolín behind only Univision.
“When the Piolin cancellation came down, we were immediately inundated with calls from all the leading Hispanic morning radio shows,” Adelante CEO Jay Meyers said in a statement. “We are extremely excited to add this outstanding show to these stations and look forward to a great relationship with great results.”
Known as “El Hombre del Vozarrón” (the loud-voiced man), Don Cheto, whose real name is Juan Carlos Razo, is a radio and television host and musician, who launched his show on Liberman Broadcasting’s flagship station, KBUE in Los Angeles in 2005.
