Ruiz lands job as EP at KSHB.com

October 7, 2013 by Veronica Villafañe

Joe Ruiz is leaving San Antonio for a job as Executive Producer for new media at KSHB.com, Kansas City’s NBC affiliate.

He starts the new gig October 28.

“I’m honestly really excited to get back to news,” Joe tells me.  “It’s been 3 years since I left  the Seattle Times. I’m looking to do some really great things at the station…. News is where I belong and feel good.  I’m looking forward to the new challenge.”

Last year, Joe left his job as Engagement Editor of NOWCastSA.com to take a position as Web Content Administrator for the Houston Independent School District.

He was previously Associate Producer – Lead for News at seattletimes.com.
