Gómez leaves Univision Houston for NY

February 28, 2014 by Veronica Villafañe

Today is Luis Gómez’s last day as a reporter for KXLN-45 Univision Houston. He’s moving to New York, where he’ll start a new job as reporter for Univision’s WXTV-41.

Luis won’t have much of a break between jobs – just one weekend. He’s actually starting next Monday at WXTV.

Luis has been at Univision Houston since March 2011, where he worked for the morning newscast. He previously spent 5 years in Univision Austin, starting out as Executive Producer of “Acción Deportiva Extra Austin” before switching to news reporting.

Before moving to Texas, Luis worked as a documentary producer and was a writer for El Norte newspaper.
