Fusion hires Urrutia as VP Digital Monetization

Jorge UrrutiaJorge Urrutia is joining Fusion to oversee digital monetization for the network. He’ll be based out of New York.

As Vice President of Digital Monetization he’ll be working with Fusion’s editorial and technology teams to explore ways to drive digital revenue across the network’s platforms.

In an email, Fusion CEO Isaac Lee to staff Urrutia “will be building a team that will develop new, inventive ways of connecting our young, diverse audience with key partners and advertisers as well as overseeing branded content, digital partnerships, and events.”

For the past year, Urrutia was VP of Operations at The Huffington Post, leading business strategy and monetization and overseeing display and native advertising, product marketing and analytics. He was previously Sr. Director, Head of Operations Strategy at AOL.
