Univision Sacramento wins 19 Emmys

KUVS 19, the Univision O&O in Sacramento racked up 19 wins during the 43rd Annual Northern California Area Emmy Awards presented this past Saturday evening, June 14 in San Francisco.

The Northern California Emmys are judged separately and are divided into English and Spanish-language contests.

KUVS won key categories: Special Achievement-Station Awards Station Excellence, under the helm of VP and General Manager Steve Stuck and News Excellence, overseen by Pablo Iacub, News Director News Programming. The station also received an Emmy for its newscast “Noticias 19 a las 11.”  Reporter Pamela Díaz won for Continuing Coverage. The news team also picked up Emmys for investigative and feature reporting.

San Francisco’s KDTV Univision 14 and Fresno’s KFTV Univision 21 also picked up a few Emmys and KSTS Telemundo won two.
