Media Vista names Guernica Station Group MGR, Villones GM of Univision Minneapolis

Antonio J. Guernica has been appointed to the newly created position of Station Group Manager of the Media Vista Group. In his new role, he’s responsible for Univision, UniMas and Azteca America in the Ft. Myers-Naples market, as well as for Univision Minneapolis and Kansas City and their digital properties.

Guernica spent the past three years as CEO of his own marketing company. He was previously VP and General Manager for Entravision’s Orlando station cluster from 2001 to 2011 and VP and General Manager of Mega Communications from 1998 to 2000.

Before that, he was General Manager of Univision Chicago, where he directed the transition of WGBO from an English independent to a Univision owned and operated station. He also led the team that brought Spanish-language television to Washington, DC with WMDO, a Univision affiliate, as President of Los Cerezos Broadcasting Company.

Minnesota native Robert Villones also joins Media Vista as General Manager of Univision Minneapolis from El Dorado Broadcasters where he held the position of Director of Sales in Yuma, Arizona, since November of 2012.

He previously spent two years as General Manager for the Adelante Media Group in the Tri-Cities of Washington State.  He was a Senior Account Executive for CBS in Las Vegas from 2001 to 2010.

Media Vista Group, LLC, is a multi-platform Hispanic-owned media company. Its broadcast holdings include Univision and UniMas in Ft. Myers-Naples as well as Azteca America Ft. Myers. MVG also owns and operates Univision Minneapolis and Univision Kansas City. It also publishes the monthly D’Latinos Magazine and the interactive portal  www.dlatinos.com.
