Univision Radio’s Omar y Argelia beat Ryan Seacrest in L.A.

October 9, 2014 by Veronica Villafañe

Two of Univision Radio’s shows have ranked among the Top 3 morning shows in Los Angeles for the past six consecutive months, April through September, with Adults 18-49.

KLVE’s Spanish contemporary “El Show de Omar y Argelia” took the No. 1 spot among all morning shows in the September sweep period, outperforming KIIS’s “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest,” KROQ’s “Kevin & Bean,” and KBIG’s “Valentine in the Morning,” as well as all Spanish-language morning shows in the market.

According to Nielsen data provided by Univision, Regional Mexican “El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo,” which airs on KSCA 101.9 FM, also made the top 3 during the September sweeps period.

The shows also have solid digital and social engagement. “El Show de Omar y Argelia” has over more than one million engaged users monthly and 350,000 fans on social media. “El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo” has over 5 million fans on social media and an average of 90 million engaged users every month.
