It was very short lived. “Café América,” the two-hour morning show that debuted January 12, was axed after barely one week on the air.
A spokesperson for América TeVé confirmed the show’s cancellation, but would not reveal why it was pulled off the air.
The show’s last day was January 16.
According to the spokesperson, “Café América” was independently produced.
A source says money issues may have led to the shutdown.
The 8 to 10 am time slot will once again be occupied by infomercials.
Just last week, América TeVé launched “Arriba América,” a 7 am newscast.
