Ruiz named anchor of Azteca América’s PM newscasts

Roberto Ruiz has been named anchor of Azteca America’s “Hechos Nacional Tarde,” airing at 6:30 pm EST, and “Hechos Nacional Noche,” airing at 11:00 pm EST.

Both newscasts, produced from Mexico, will be aired exclusively in the United States and focus on the national and international news and events that affect U.S. Hispanics.

Roberto started his new role at Azteca last Thursday, January 29. He was previously news anchor for “Azteca América West Coast,” a show launched in 2013.

Before that, he co-anchored “Noticiero Nacional Azteca América” with Christian Lara from January 2011 until 2013.
