Endemol Shine North America has named Daniel Rodríguez and Mauricio Piccone as Co-Executive Vice Presidents of its newly launched Spanish-language division Endemol Shine Latino.

The company also appointed Sergio Lazarov, a veteran showrunner and director, as VP of Production of the unit.

Rodríguez, who was formerly Shine Group’s VP of Sales for Latin America, will oversee all sales initiatives for Endemol Shine Latino. He was named Shine Group’s VP, Sales for Latin America in May 2014 and was responsible for business development for the unit across Latin America. He previously spent 8 years as Director of Sales for Venevision International.

Piccone, SVP of Endemol Latino USA since May 2010, will lead all Spanish-language production and programming initiatives for the division. For the past 5 years, he has produced and led the production of series such as “Mira Quien Baila” (Univision & Televisa), “Yo Me Llamo” (Telemundo), “A Todo O Nada” (Azteca), “Impractical Jokers” (Turner) and “Que Viva” featuring Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony (Univision). He previously worked for Endemol Mexico.

Lazarov most recently directed two seasons of “La Voz Kids” for Telemundo and was Executive Producer for Telemundo’s “El Artista.”  He previously worked as a Director and Showrunner in Spain and Romania.

The Endemol Shine Latino team is based in Miami and covers all Spanish-language sales and production in both the U.S. and Mexico.

The launch of Endemol Shine Latino comes after the recently completed joint venture between Endemol, Shine and CORE Media, that formed Endemol Shine North America, a global content creator, producer and distributor with an extensive and diverse portfolio of international world hits.
