Telemundo’s “Un Nuevo Día” wins Daytime Emmy

For a second consecutive year, Telemundo’s morning show “Un Nuevo Día” picks up a Daytime Emmy award for Outstanding Morning Program in Spanish.

Telemundo received the award last night during the 42nd Daytime Emmy Awards held at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California.

“Un Nuevo Día” beat CNN en Español’s “Café CNN” and Univision’s “Despierta América,” the other two contenders in the category.

The show is hosted by Rashel Díaz, Adamari López, Ana María Canseco, Daniel Sarcos and Diego Schoening, with news updates from Neida Sandoval.

María López Álvarez, Telemundo’s SVP of Reality Programming, Emilio Pimentel, Director of Production and Operations of  Alternative Programming, as well as “Un Nuevo Día’s” Executive Producer Mari García-Márquez, co-host Daniel Sarcos, Production Supervisor Aide Devis, and Segment Producer Angel Román were on hand to pick up the Emmy.
