Carlos Calderón won as Outstanding Daytime Talent in a Spanish-language Program

Univision’s afternoon entertainment and gossip show “El Gordo y La Flaca,” and TV host Carlos Calderón received Daytime Emmy Awards from The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) during its 42nd annual ceremony on Sunday.

“El Gordo y La Flaca” won for Outstanding Entertainment Program in Spanish and Carlos won as Outstanding Daytime Talent in a Spanish-language Program.

An entertainment reporter and co-host on “El Gordo y la Flaca,” Carlos was recently named co-host on “Sal y Pimienta.”  He was recognized for his report from Brazil on the musical group Olodum.

Raúl de Molina and Lili Estefan host “El Gordo y La Flaca” alongside cast members Danilo Carrera, Jessica Cediel and Tanya Charri Monday through Friday at 4 pm ET/PT.
