July 27, 2015 by Veronica Villafañe

Univision’s KMEX 34 and Telemundo’s KVEA 52 shut out all other English-language L.A. area stations in the Emmy awards ceremony this year, winning best newscast honors in the morning, afternoon and late evening categories.

The KMEX picked up best daily morning newscast for “Primera Edición” among its 9 awards. KVEA, which won in 7 categories, picked up best daily evening newscast for “Noticiero Telemundo 52 A Las 11 PM.”

Both stations tied for regularly scheduled daily daytime newscast – KMEX for its 6 pm and KVEA for its 5:30 pm newscast.
