“Years ago when I embarked on my journey to become a journalist…I always envisioned myself working for the station I grew up watching in Houston,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “I feel blessed to be given an opportunity to return home, accomplish a long-time goal and continue to do what I love.”
She leaves San Antonio, where she has been a reporter and Saturday morning anchor at KENS since 2011. Her last day at KENS is Friday, September 11.
She previously spent 2 years as a reporter and fill-in anchor at KIAH, the CW-affiliate in Houston. She got her start as a reporter and associate producer for KRGV-TV the Rio Grande Valley.
