Univision and The Atlantic partner to launch new digital pub

The Atlantic and Univision Digital have teamed up to create CityLab Latino. The new digital publication will be the Spanish-language version of The Atlantic’s CityLab.com.

Expected to launch in early 2016 at Univision.com, the new destination will feature original journalism in Spanish and translated versions of CityLab.com articles, covering topics ranging from crime, politics and immigration to the environment, culture and technology.

The CityLab Latino editorial team will be split between Miami and Washington, D.C., with writers in key cities across the country. A search is underway for the site’s editor, who will be based in Miami.

This is Univision Digital’s second topic-focused content partnership. In early 2014, the company partnered with Variety Media LLC to launch the co-branded Variety Latino website, which covers Spanish-language entertainment news.
