WNJU promotes Gómez, Acosta and Sosa

Fernando Gomez, Alfredo Acosta, Victoria Sosa

WNJU Telemundo 47 New York today announced it has hired Fernando Gómez and Alfredo Acosta as reporters for the station’s morning and evening newscasts, and Victoria Sosa as the new full-time host of local entertainment show “Acceso Total,” which airs weekdays at 10 am.

This is an internal promotion, since Fernando and Alfredo have been freelancing at Telemundo 47 since 2014 and Victoria has been working at at the station since 2011 as a part-time host for “Acceso Total” and weather anchor for the weekday morning and evening newscasts.

Before joining Telemundo 47, Fernando freelanced at Univision 41 in New York for 4 years and KMEX 34 in Los Angeles. He worked almost 9 years at KDTV 14 in San Francisco.

Alfredo previously worked as a news reporter for SIN news network and for the State Radio and Television Corporation (Corporación Estatal de Radio y Televisión, CERTV) in his native Dominican Republic.
