NPR joins Media Moves to recruit Latino journalists

February 26, 2016 by Veronica Villafañe

NPR-MediaMovesMedia Moves today welcomes NPR as the newest media company looking to recruit Latino journalists via the site’s recently launched job board.

Seeking to increase diversity within its organization and its newsrooms, NPR posted five high-level editorial positions in the Media Moves job board with more to come soon.

“Networks like Media Moves give us an opportunity to expand our reach into the Latino community,” explains Traci Schweikert, NPR’s Sr. Director, Talent Acquisition & Development, as to why the public broadcaster decided to team up with Media Moves in its recruitment efforts. “We are excited to connect with Latino journalists and show them the wonderful opportunities NPR has to offer.”

The NPR listings include jobs on shows like “All Things Considered,” “Morning Edition,” and “Planet Money.”

These are great opportunities, so check them out and apply!

Media Moves is also thankful for the support of local Univision stations in Sacramento, Fresno and Houston, who were the first to post openings on the job board, followed by Telemundo stations in NY and L.A.

Stay tuned for new recruiters to join the Media Moves job site!
