Five years after leaving MegaTV, María Elvira Salazar returns to the SBS-owned Miami station to launch a new newscast.

“Mega Noticiero” debuts next Monday, February 15. The show will air Monday through Friday at 5 and 10 pm.

The Emmy-award winning journalist previously hosted the weeknight “María Elvira Live” on Mega TV from 2006 to 2011.

Since her departure from Mega TV, María Elvira has bounced around several Miami stations, where she hosted her own shows.

She most recently spent a year and a half doing political analysis show “María Elvira” on Miami’s Mira TV.

She previously had a show on WGEN TV, which was cancelled in January of 2013 and a short-lived program on the now defunct CNN Latino.
