The Hill debuts Latino section

April 19, 2016 by Veronica Villafañe

The-Hill-Latino-homepageWashington, D.C.-based political news site The Hill today launched a new vertical called The Hill Latino.

The new section will offer non-partisan specialized news coverage of policy, politics and issues impacting the Latino community.

To launch the project, The Hill partnered with Austin-based Latino Magazine for content and marketing.

Diana Marrero, who joined The Hill as Director of Content Partnerships in 2014, is now Director of The Hill Latino, overseeing the business side of the vertical.

Rafael Bernal, a former Managing Editor at UPI, will lead The Hill Latino’s editorial team and Latino Magazine editor Alfredo Estrada will be a primary contributor to the site.

According to the company, The Hill Latino is a fully integrated initiative of The Hill and its entire team will contribute to the effort.

At time of launch, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is the chief advertiser on the new Latino vertical.
