She makes her on-air debut on Monday, June 20, joining Daniel Aguirre for the station’s 4:30, 5 and 10 pm newscasts.
Jimena will replace Rebeka Diaz, who was promoted to Telemundo network correspondent.
Jimena most recently co-anchored Univision’s “Despierta San Diego” for almost two years, until Entravision canceled its morning shows nationwide in early December 2015.
Prior to her move to the United States, she worked in her native Mexico as a radio for Uniradio 1470 AM and as a co-anchor for Síntesis TV in Tijuana.
