Brandon Benavides, who ran unopposed, is the new national President of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

Election results were announced at the end of the NABJ/NAHJ convention in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, August 6.

Here is the complete list of winners who compose the new board of directors:

VP Online:  Joe Ruiz

VP of Broadcast:  Rolando Arrieta

Financial Officer: Michelle Riddles

Secretary:  Nancy Flores

General At-Large Officer:  Nathan Olivares-Giles

Academic At-Large Officer:  Laura Castaneda

Spanish At-Large Officer:  Miguel Rosa

Region 1:  Rafael Mejia

Region 2:  Geraldine Azócar (Appointed)

Region 3:  Erik Reyna

Region 6:  Blanca Rios

Region 8:  Brian De Los Santos

Nobody ran for VP of Print or Director for regions 4,5, and 7. Those slots remain vacant and will probably require a board appointment.
