Univision partners with LA Rams

Univision Los Angeles has signed its first NFL partnership with the L.A. Rams, becoming the exclusive Spanish-language TV broadcaster of  the team’s preseason games.

As part of the three-year agreement announced today, Univision and UniMás will broadcast Rams preseason games and their pregame shows on KMEX Univision 34 and KFTR UniMás 46 through the 2018 season.

The Rams are making a strong push to attract Spanish-language audiences.

Last month, the team struck an exclusive rights deal making KWKW 1330 AM/ESPN Deportes its official Spanish-language flagship radio station.

In 2016, KABE Univision 39 and KBTF UniMás 31 in Bakersfield will also score some of the action with preseason games and additional programming simulcast on those stations.

Univision and UniMás will also air other content, including an LA Rams special airing on KMEX 34 on Sunday, August 14 from 6-6:30 PM.

Starting on Saturday, August 20, the stations will broadcast three of the 2016 preseason games. First up: the Rams vs Kansas City Chiefs at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The games will feature detailed play-by-play analysis and commentary from sportscasters Jessi Losada, Ramses Sandoval and Xavier Sol.

Jessi will also will host a pregame show before two of the games, along with sportscaster Diana Alvarado and local sports anchor Alejandro Luna.
