Comcast to launch Kids Central and Primo TV networks

Comcast today announced it’s launching two more Hispanic cable networks in January of 2017.

Kids Central and Primo TV will be English-language educational networks for bicultural children.

Kids Central, owned and operated by Condista Networks, targets kids ages 3 to 7. Primo TV, owned and operated by Vme, goes after 6 to 16 year-old viewers.

Comcast previously launched two other Hispanic-owned networks: Baby First Americas in 2012 and Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey in 2013.

These networks count towards the 10 new independently owned and operated networks Comcast committed to launching in 2011 to get FCC approval of its acquisition of NBCUniversal.
