Lopez named Executive Director of NALIP after Caballero takes HBO job

Ben Lopez (L) takes over as NALIP’s executive director after Axel Caballero leaves for HBO job.

Axel Caballero has stepped down as Executive Director of NALIP to accept a position as Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at HBO.

Caballero, who joined NALIP in 2013, will remain on the organization’s board of directors.

Ben Lopez, NALIP’s Project Director for over two years, replaces Caballero as Executive Director.

In his most recent role, Lopez was responsible for the development, management and execution of the group’s national projects and initiatives, including the NALIP Media Summit.

Lopez has worked at NALIP in multiple roles since 2003.
