Telemundo’s “Un Nuevo Día” team celebrates third Daytime Emmy win.

Telemundo’s morning show “Un Nuevo Día” picked up its third Emmy for Outstanding Morning Program in Spanish.

The morning team picked up the trophy during the 44th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday, April 28.

Telemundo bested Univision’s “Despierta América” and CNN en Español’s “Café CNN.”

“Un Nuevo Día” picked up Emmys in the same category in 2014 and 2015.

The show, hosted by Rashel Díaz, Adamari López, Ana María Canseco, Daniel Sarcos and Diego Schoening, is executive produced by Mari García-Márquez.

A complete list of winners is available here.

The Outstanding Morning Program in Spanish is the only Spanish-language category award handed out in the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony.

Other Spanish-language categories – Outstanding Daytime Talent and Outstanding Entertainment Program – will be awarded on Sunday, April 30.
