Univision promotes Escobar and Lowry

Christine Escobar has been promoted to VP, General Manager and Director of Sales for Univision Austin and Danny Lowry to the newly created role of VP, Radio National Sales, effective immediately.

Escobar will continue to be based in Austin and report to Luis Fernández-Rocha, SVP and GM.

Escobar will manage operations including ad sales, marketing, news, production and promotions of Univision Austin TV and radio stations: Univision 62, UniMás 31, Qué Buena 104.3 FM and 107.7 FM Más Variedad.

Since joining UCI in 2003, Escobar has worked in several capacities, most recently as Director of Sales for Univision Austin. Before Univision, she worked at the iHeart Radio cluster in Austin, focusing on sales.

Lowry will be based in Dallas and report to Dominic Fails, SVP of Local Media Sales.

In his new role, Lowry will oversee sales efforts for Univision’s radio stations across the country.

Lowry has worked 12 years at Univision. He was most recently VP and GM of Univision Austin. He was previously Director of Sales for Univision’s four-station radio cluster in Dallas overseeing local, national, new business and digital revenue.
