After two decades behind the anchor desk, María Leticia Gómez has left KDTV Univision 14 to become Santa Clara County’s Director of the Office of Public Affairs.

She starts her new role on September 1, 2017.

Gómez had been an anchor and reporter for Univision 14 since 2000. Prior to moving to California, she worked as an anchor and reporter for Univision in New York City and a correspondent for Canal de Noticias NBC.

Weekend anchor Ramón Adame is replacing Gómez on an interim basis while the station conducts a search for a weekday primetime anchor. Reporter Beatriz Ferrari is filling in for Adame on weekends.
