Univision changes Upfront model for 2018

Univision 2018 UpfrontsUnivision Communications today announced it’s disrupting the traditional Upfront model for 2018, “recasting” it into a two-day experiential event.

Under the them “Culture Unbound,” the company says it has “scrapped the traditional industry trappings” of the yearly presentation to advertisers to bring an expanded and more modern version of the event, which aims to emphasize how Univision ‘s portfolio can connect brands to culture.

Besides turning it into a two-day event, Univision is moving its annual showcase from the Theater District to TriBeCa’s stylish and state-of-the-art Spring Studios. The company says this will better reflect its youthful, trendsetting audience.

Univision’s Upfront will run Monday, May 14 through Tuesday, May 15.

The two-day event will comprise of four presentations featuring performances and in-person interactive experiences spanning entertainment, news and sports that will come to life in 3-D and 360° views.

Attendees can choose to join the experience on Monday, May 14 from 5 to 8 pm. or Tuesday, May 15 from 9 am to 5 pm.
