Telemundo taps Roldán and Vizcón to lead WTMO

Longtime television executives Luis Roldán and Roberto Vizcón rejoin Telemundo. Both men have been tapped to lead WTMO, Telemundo’s O&O in Orlando.

Roldán has been named President and General Manager. Vizcón, who was previously a GM at the station when it was owned by ZGS, returns to lead WTMO’s newsroom as VP of News.

Their first day at Telemundo Orlando is today.

Roldán is relocating to Orlando from Puerto Rico, where he worked in executive management roles for several networks, including President and GM of WKAQ-TV Telemundo, SVP and GM of SBS’s MegaTV and EVP/ COOAmerica CV’s owned and operated stations in New York, Miami and San Juan.

Vizcón most recently spent four years at Univision, as News Director in Puerto Rico and then WLTV 23 in Miami. An Emmy award-winning journalist, he previously worked as WSCV Telemundo 51 News Director from 1992 to 2004, before moving to Orlando to become VP and General Manager of WTMO, and later, GM of WGEN-TV in Miami.

He is moving from Miami to Orlando.

Roldán will report to Manuel Martínez, President of the Telemundo Station Group. Vizcón will report to Roldán.
