Jackie Hernandez

Hernández named President of Combate Américas

June 4, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Jacqueline Hernández joins Combate Américas as President of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports and multimedia entertainment company targeting Hispanics.

She’ll be based in New York and report to Campbell McLaren, CEO and Founder of Combate Américas.

She steps into the position left vacant last year by José Rodríguez, aka Alberto El Patrón.

Over the past year, Hernández founded strategic consulting firm The M²Z Group, where she took on Combate Américas as her first client.

In her new role, she’ll oversee the entire business apparatus and P&L of Combate Americas. She’ll be responsible for driving the company’s continued global expansion, expanding multiplatform distribution channels and geographic regions for the company’s growth plan, negotiating media rights and developing an MMA Sports & Entertainment enterprise and brand name.

Hernández previously spent almost a decade with NBCUniversal Telemundo – first as Chief Operating Officer and later stepping into a Chief Marketing Officer role. She left Telemundo in March 2017.

Before that, she was Publisher of People en Español and Teen People.
