July 24, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Javier Castro has returned to television news. He has started a new job as a multimedia journalist at Univision 65 Philadelphia.

His first day on air was Monday, July 16.

Over the past three years, Castro focused on building his own marketing, advertising and consulting company, working on television commercials, branding, promotions and public relations campaigns. He also self-produced an AM radio program in Colorado.

He last worked in TV as a weather anchor for Telemundo Denver from 2011 to 2015, when he resigned from KDEN.

A radio and television producer and host in his native Honduras, Castro began his U.S. broadcasting career in 2010 at Crawford Broadcasting’s 810 AM in Denver.
