Estrella TV launches new national entertainment show

Estrella TV is adding a new entertainment show to its national programming lineup.

“El Mameluco” will debut Monday, August 6.

Ricardo “Rica” Rubio, Stephanie “Steph” Gerard, Juan Alberto Santos and Grecia Salamon will host the daily one-hour entertainment news program, bringing their own perspectives and humorous commentary on celebrity and pop culture news, as well as social media trending topics.

An 18-year veteran radio producer, Rubio also works for LBI Media’s Que Buena 94.3 and 105.5, “El Show de Don Cheto” and Pepe Garza’s YouTube show “Pepe’s Office.”

Gerard is an actress, singer and comedian, who has recorded 9 albums, toured throughout Mexico and Latin America and acted in telenovelas and TV shows.

Salamon is a Venezuelan film and television actress.

Santos is a journalist, radio and TV Producer, who has worked at Televisa, Azteca, Univision, Telemundo and Estrella TV, where he has produced the entertainment segment of “Don Cheto al Aire” for more than three years and also works as a producer on “En Vivo.”

Iker Calderón is the show’s producer.

“El Mameluco” will air live Monday through Friday at 4 pm EST. It replaces “Que Jalada,” currently in the time slot.
