Craig Herrera

Herrera leaves KCBS for weekday slot at KING

August 24, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Craig Herrera is signing off as KCBS-KCAL’s weekend meteorologist.

His last day on the air is this coming Sunday, August 26.

He’s moving to Seattle’s KING, where he won’t have to get up as early and get a break on weekends.

When he starts the new job September 10, he’ll be working weeknights.

“This is such an exciting time in my career! I’m thrilled and honored to announce I’ll join the incredibly talented and professional staff at KING 5, the NBC affiliate in Seattle,” Herrera tells Media Moves.

“I’m really looking forward to establishing roots in the Northwest! I’ll be out and about in the community meeting new people and making new friends. My family and I love the climate and we’re looking forward to exploring one of the most beautiful parts of our country. We love Los Angeles and we’re proud of all we’ve accomplished throughout California, and we’ll be back often to visit family and friends.”

Herrera joined at KCBS-KCAL in August 2016.

He previously worked as weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter at KGTV, the ABC affiliate San Diego from 2001 to 2016.
