Telemundo adds correspondent Javier Vega to Washington, D.C. bureau

August 20, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Telemundo is expanding its network news operations in Washington, D.C. with the addition of correspondent Javier Vega.

He joins longtime Telemundo D.C. national correspondent Lori Montenegro.

He’ll report to Victoria Rivas-Vázquez, the company’s Washington, D.C. bureau chief.

Vega moves to Washington, D.C. team, from Mexico, where he was a correspondent for Noticias Telemundo.

He previously worked as an investigative reporter for Televisa’s bi-weekly show “Punto de Partida with Denise Maerker,” covering social, political and security issues.

Before that, he was a news anchor and reporter at the TeleSUR network in Venezuela.

Vega also worked as an anchor and reporter for Milenio Televisión.
