Disney’s Rita Ferro is getting a second promotion in less than two years.
Named President of Advertising Sales and Marketing for Disney-ABC in February 2017, Ferro is now President of Disney Advertising Sales.
In her new role, she will now also oversee ad sales for ESPN’s portfolio, including ESPN+, ESPN Radio, ESPN the Magazine and ESPN on ABC.
That’s in addition to her current responsibilities supervising sales for all Disney-ABC properties, including Disney cable networks, Freeform and ABC’s O&O television stations, as well Disney’s mobile, social and digital portfolio.
Disney is consolidating all of its ad-sales under Ferro’s leadership, who takes over ESPN sales leadership from retiring Global Sales President Ed Erhardt.
Ferro joined Disney over 20 years ago. Since then, she has several executive positions throughout the company, including VP of Ad Sales for ESPN International.
