KGBT hires sports anchor Daniel Esteve

September 24, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

Harlingen CBS affiliate KGBT has a new sports anchor.

Daniel Esteve will be anchoring the Rio Grande Valley station’s weekend sportscasts. He’ll also be a sports reporter three days a week for the 6 and 10 pm newscasts.

He replaces Patrick Chalvire, who moved to KFOX in El Paso to become weekday sports anchor.

A Brownsville native, Esteve joins the Rio Grande Valley station after graduating from the University of Missouri. While in school, he worked as an MMJ, anchor and producer at university-owned NBC affiliate KOMU.
