Ex Univision exec José Lascurain named VP of Production at Endemol Shine Boomdog

December 3, 2018 by Veronica Villafañe

José Lascurain, who until recently was Senior Executive Producer of Current Programming and Specials at Univision Communications, has landed a new job as VP of Production at Endemol Shine Boomdog.

In his new role, he’ll lead unscripted programming for the Latino division of Endemol Shine North America.

He’ll be based in Los Angeles, where the company looks to increase its presence for the growing number of Spanish-language projects it’s producing for Netflix, Amazon and other streamers, in addition to Telemundo and Univision.

During his one-year tenure at Univision, he oversaw programming from telenovelas to specials for Televisa in Mexico and Univision in the U.S., leading entertainment workflow between both networks for series like “Pequeños Gigantes,” “Reto 4 Elementos” and “Todo queda en Familia.”
