Saldivar moves to new role at LA Times

March 20, 2019 by Veronica Villafañe

Steve Saldivar has started a new role as video journalist at the Los Angeles Times.

Since joining the paper four years ago, he has been a social media and audience engagement producer helping shape the visual identity of the LAT on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and creating engagement plans for special projects.

Throughout his time at the paper, Saldivar has also produced video stories, which led to his reassignment to the LAT’s video desk full-time.

As a video journalist, he’ll shoot, edit and produce online shareable videos. The internal move was made effective last week.

Prior to the LAT, Saldivar, a native Angeleno, spent nine years as the social media coordinator at The Getty.
