Carlos Saucedo

Saucedo lands reporter job at KTLA

March 4, 2019 by Veronica Villafañe

Carlos Saucedo joins KTLA 5 News as a weekend nightside reporter.

Saucedo has been working to return to his home turf since graduating from USC in 2010, when he moved to Waco, TX for his first job.

“I’m honored and excited to be back reporting in my hometown of Los Angeles,” Saucedo tells Media Moves. “This has been a 10 year journey for me, but the sacrifices and patience has been well worth it!”

His first day at KTLA was Friday, March 1. His on-air debut was yesterday.

Saucedo arrives to KTLA from ABC7 News in the Bay Area, where he worked as a news reporter since December 2017. He previously spent four years at KXTV, the ABC affiliate in Sacramento. Before that, he was at another ABC affiliate – KFSN in Fresno.

“I now get to continue doing what I love in the city where I was born and raised,” he wrote on Facebook. “Things have come full-circle and I couldn’t be happier.”
