Karla Amezola has been hired full time at Telemundo network news.

Multiple inside sources tell Media Moves that she will now be based out of Telemundo’s Miami headquarters. Her role at the network is yet unclear.

Media Moves made multiple requests for official confirmation, but received no response from the network by the time of publication.

Sources say Amezola officially started as a full time staffer today. She has been working freelance for the network from the L.A. bureau since December, but has also recently spent time in Miami.

Amezola, who was terminated from her previous job as anchor of EstrellaTV, sued her boss, former VP of News Andrés Angulo, and the network in 2016, after reporting a history of sexual harassment.

Her lawsuit against Angulo and EstrellaTV is still pending.

After her termination, Amezola did some freelance writing for Excelsior newspaper in Los Angeles, but had to resort to driving for Uber and Lyft for a living.

Former Fox anchor Gretchen Carlson featured Amezola’s story in her sexual harassment documentary “Breaking the Silence,” which aired on Lifetime in January.
