Heredia starts as Univision Weather Center chief meteorologist

May 28, 2019 by Veronica Villafañe

Gastón Heredia is starting a new role as chief meteorologist for the Univision Weather Center, based in Houston.

He replaces Albert Martínez who left the position in February to join the network as chief meteorologist and principal weather anchor for “Despierta América.”

Heredia will lead coverage for the station group’s weather hub, anchoring segments that air in several cities around the country, including Houston.

A native of Argentina, Heredia spent the last seven years as meteorologist for the Entravision-owned Univision affiliate in Denver.
