Univision - Telemundo

Univision and Telemundo preview 2019-2020 programming lineups

May 9, 2019 by Veronica Villafañe

Univision and Telemundo shared previews of their 2019-2020 programming lineups in press briefings ahead of the Upfronts in New York next week.

Both networks have undergone changes in the management and programming teams since last year.

Univision has a new CEO – Vince Sadusky. And Jessica Rodríguez is now the network’s CMO and President of Entertainment. This will be Telemundo’s first Upfront since Luis Silberwasser’s exit.

While Univision emphasized its return to the “core business” of Spanish-language broadcast programming and its close relationship to Televisa, Telemundo stood its ground on the success of its original content programming strategy.

Univision will be pitching their shows to advertisers in a two-day event May 13-14.

Telemundo, as in recent years, will be part of NBCUniversal’s upfront on May 13, but will host a separate event that evening for advertising clients and business partners featuring Pitbull.

Details of Univision’s new season lineup and the Telemundo programming slate are available on Forbes.
