Alvarado moves to Telemundo Las Vegas

June 24, 2019 by Veronica Villafañe

Paulo Alvarado is moving from the Telemundo affiliate in Austin to Telemundo’s O&O in Las Vegas.

He’ll be an MMJ for Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas starting Monday, July 1. He’ll work weekdays for the 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 pm shows.

He fills the position left vacant by Michelle Lizette Rodríguez, who resigned in April to move to San Diego.

Alvarado has been an MMJ for Telemundo Austin/KEYE since 2017. His last day at the Texas station is Wednesday, June 26.

A native of Costa Rica, he landed his first U.S. job in 2016 at KUKC Univision Kansas City as news anchor and content manager.

Alvarado previously spent three years as anchor/reporter and social media manager for Canal 9 in Costa Rica. Before that, he worked at Televisa in Mexico City as a reporter, media relations and production assistant.
