Hispanicize Media Group sold to NGL Collective

NGL - Hispanicize

If you were wondering what is going on with Hispanicize, here’s the answer. The event and its parent company have been sold to NGL Collective, the independent Latino media and entertainment company co-founded by actor John Leguizamo and David Chitel, who coined the term “next generation Latino.”

NGL acquired Hispanicize Media Group (HMG) and all of its assets, including the Hispanicize conference and digital platforms Hispanic Kitchen and Latina Moms.

The event has been taking place in April in Miami for most of its existence, but April came and went with no clues as to the event’s future.

In 2018, Hispanicize/HMG founder Manny Ruiz, announced he was leaving the company to launch a new venture, later revealing he would be focusing on retro-inspired live event Nostalgiacon.

Chitel plans to make a big splash for NGL’s inaugural “re-envisioned” Hispanicize, which will take place in Los Angeles, October 18-19.

More information about the transaction and plans for the 10th anniversary of Hispanicize are detailed on Forbes.
