Segura to lead Telemundo Sacramento and Fresno newsrooms as VP of News

Adolfo Segura

Adolfo Segura has been named VP of News of Telemundo 33 Sacramento and Telemundo 51 Fresno, where he will once again work with his former boss, José Suárez.

Segura replaces Steve Malavé, who exited the company in June.

He leaves his current position as VP of News for KVDA Telemundo 60 in San Antonio. He has been at the station since 2013.

Segura will be relocating to Sacramento and start his new expanded role in California on July 22.

While at KVDA, he spearheaded the launch of several newscasts across multiple time periods and also oversaw the launch of the station’s first border news bureau.

Segura previously worked as an executive producer for Univision and the now-defunct Telemundo Production Center.
