Tania Rivero

Rivero named anchor at CBSN

September 9, 2019 by Veronica Villafañe

Tanya Rivero has been named anchor at CBSN, CBS News’ 24/7 free streaming platform.

Today is her first day in the new role.

She was previously a freelance anchor and reporter for CBSN since 2017, covering national and international breaking news and feature stories. She anchored CBSN’s live coverage of the Mueller report and had one of the first national interviews with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez before she was elected to Congress.

Before joining CBS News, she was the anchor of “Lunch Break with Tanya Rivero” on WSJ Live, The Wall Street Journal’s digital channel.

Prior to that, she was an anchor and correspondent for ABC News, anchoring “ABC News Now,” “America This Morning” and “World News Now.”

While at ABC News, she was also host of “Good Morning America Health” and “Good Money,” as well as a correspondent for “Good Morning America,” “Nightline,” “World News with Diane Sawyer” and “Weekend World News with David Muir.”

Rivero began her career in journalism as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WCBS-TV in New York City.
