Acevedo named correspondent for Quibi’s “60 in 6”

January 14, 2020 by Veronica Villafañe

Univision anchor and reporter Enrique Acevedo will be a correspondent on Quibi’s upcoming 60 MINUTES program “60 IN 6,” scheduled to launch in April.

Acevedo is the first correspondent to be named to the dedicated “60 IN 6” unit that will produce a weekly program of approximately six minutes per episode.

The original 60 MINUTES content will run exclusively on Quibi and be targeted to mobile device users.

Acevedo, who joined Univision in 2012, will continue to work for the Spanish-language network as an anchor and correspondent.

Quibi is a short-form mobile video platform founded by former Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg and led by CEO Meg Whitman.

The company announced last year it partnered with Telemundo to launch two English-language shows on the platform aimed at GenZ and Millennial viewers ages 18 to 34.
