César Conde is stepping down as Chairman of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, a position he has held since 2015.
Effective immediately, he is moving on to the newly created role of Chairman, NBCUniversal News Group, as part of a management reorganization, announced today by the company.
The NBCUniversal News Group is a newly formed unit, which now includes NBC News, MSNBC and CNBC.
Conde will report directly to NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell.
All the news division heads, including Noah Oppenheim, President of NBC News; Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC; and Mark Hoffman, Chairman of CNBC, will now report to Conde.
NBC News Group president Andy Lack will transition out of the company at the end of the month.
Mark Lazarus, Chairman of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, will oversee Telemundo network until a new leader of Telemundo Enterprises is announced at later date.
Conde joined NBCUniversal in October 2013 as EVP of NBCUniversal to oversee NBCU International and NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises.
